About the role:

Gentoo have an exciting opportunity to be the overall lead within Maintenance effectively managing multiple contracts across Property Maintenance in the role of Contracts Manager.

This newly created role will also manage the entire operational delivery of the Jewson service to Gentoo, including all aspects of consultation, customer engagement and delivery of service.

In addition, the successful candidate will support where required in the management of the Group’s Maintenance service, including the Group’s Repairs contractors.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of financial negotiation with contractors to achieve value engineering across all areas of maintenance disciplines whilst maintaining required standards.

They will have exceptional commercial understanding of value for money drivers in maintenance and a proven track record of successful implementation of this.

They will be skilled in variation control and negotiation with contractors to limit the impact of contract costs and demonstrable knowledge of cost value reporting in line with the fiscal calendar.

We are looking for someone with experience of managing relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiencies and financial performance.

They must have experience of managing the finances of high value contracts within repairs and facilities management, with the skills to monitor, control and take appropriate action to ensure out-turn costs are exceeded .
