The role of Carbon Reduction and Renewables Officer will support the Asset Sustainability Manager in the delivery and development of the aims and objectives of the Gentoo Asset Sustainability Agenda.  

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading on the identification of new initiatives to introduce renewable energy technologies and carbon reduction measures that will contribute to achieving our 2040 carbon zero target.

  • Working collaboratively with the Property Teams to develop sustainable investment programmes and sourcing external funding opportunities in relation to energy efficiency.

  • Taking a leading role with specialist energy efficiency or carbon reduction investment schemes including chairing meetings, drafting specifications of work, and coordinating relevant pre-construction information.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Have experience in a similar role ideally within the housing sector, although candidates with the right skills in an industrial role will still be considered.

  • Hold comprehensive knowledge in Carbon reduction in the built environment.

  • Ideally possess a qualification in renewable energy/mechanical engineering along with a CIBSE or equivalent and/or knowledge in Carbon reporting.

  • Have excellent data management skills and the ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data.

  • Hold comprehensive knowledge of energy legislation, regulations, and good practice.

  • Be able to create and maintain productive and positive authentic working relationships.
